Ep 39 – HR meets Personal Styling – with Karen Miller

How important is what we wear when it comes to getting the job, getting the promotion or getting the engagement of our audience?

In this day and age should we still be judging someone’s ability on how they wear their hair or what their trousers are made of?

Should we be discounting our human tendency to make judgements about people or is it a part of human nature that we can’t change or ignore?

In today’s episode of the podcast I’m discussing these issues with HR Consultant and Personal Stylist, Karen Miller.

Karen has had a long and successful career in HR and has witnessed time and again how first impressions can make or break a successful interview.  Despite her belief that all recruitment should be based on skills and suitability for the role, her experience has shown her that sometimes we have to look a bit deeper into how we present ourselves and the impact getting it right can have on improving our confidence and performance.
