Coaching programmes run over a 6 or 12 month period and are designed to be challenging and rewarding.
Coachees are given tasks that will develop their self-awareness, emotional intelligence, mindset and personal effectiveness. They will define and set their own personal and professional goals and measure their achievements. They will be asked to keep a personal journal in which to record their learning and progress.
Coaching sessions can be delivered either in person (when possible) or via video call and usually take place at monthly intervals.
Coaching is a respectful mixture of inquiry, conversation, listening, teaching, learning, experimentation, exploration and well-chosen action steps. It is designed to help the coachee reach their highest goals and to properly evaluate and re-adjust goals as necessary.
As such the relationship between coach and coachee is one of mutual respect and trust. All 1:1 coaching sessions are conducted in confidence to enable honest and effective dialogue to be achieved.
Where an employer is funding coaching for an employee, the employer must understand that confidentiality between coach and coachee is essential.
